Robert is responsible for operations and customer experience. He is a tech startup executive with who has built businesses, led teams, and thrives on solving problems. He is an avid elk hunter and shooting enthusiast with a taste for precision-driven experiences.
Camp Recoil started out as a wild idea, hitting a sub-MOA target from a mile away, into a place where participants push themselves to test their skill, focus, and grit. His goal is to offer anyone who attends the camps with a real, intense, and unforgettable chance to face the seemingly impossible challenge of the mile and walk away with bragging rights for life.

Dan McDermott

Dan is responsible for all things shooting at Camp Recoil, including shooting education, instruction, and range safety. As a current senior U.S. Army Green Beret Special Forces Sniper Instructor, Dan has spent over a decade operating and teaching at the highest levels of military marksmanship.
Trusted to train elite shooters with precision, and control, Dan brings a no-nonsense standard of education forged in environments where failure is not an option. At Camp Recoil, Dan delivers elite, disciplined, safety-driven instruction built to harden fundamentals and elevate performance under pressure to help participants achieve the mile-long shot.

Josh is responsible for mental focus at Camp Recoil. He is a serial entrepreneur, an executive coach, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. His rare blend of business leadership and human performance training to help others perform with clarity and control under pressure.
As a Josh has devoted his life to mastering mental calmness under extreme pressure. Through decades of entrepreneurship, competitive combat sports, and advanced breath-control training, he has developed a proven system for staying clear-minded when the body is pushed to its limits. His instruction equips participants to regulate stress, sharpen focus, and execute with precision when it matters most.
